Terms, refunds & privacy
The rules of the road, written to be read rather than skipped. Last updated 2026-08-06.
Tickets are sold through DesignMyNight, our ticket partner. Their ticket terms govern the payment and ticketing process; the terms below cover the tour itself. Where the two differ on the tour, these apply.
Booking
- A booking is confirmed when payment is taken and you receive a confirmation email. If you don't get one, check your spam folder, then tell us.
- Public tours are limited to 30 guests. Once a date shows as sold out, it is.
- The advertised price of £69 per person includes all beer tastings on the tour and the sharing platters at the final venue. It does not include travel to Bristol or anything you buy for yourself.
- Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed through the online ticket calendar. See redeeming a voucher.
Refunds and changes
- Refunds are available up to 30 days before your tour date. Contact us and we'll process it.
- Inside 30 days we cannot refund, for any reason — including illness, injury, travel disruption, weather or a change of plans. By that point we have committed to the boat, the venues and your guide, and those costs stand whether you come or not.
- If that risk matters to you, please arrange your own ticket protection or travel insurance before booking.
- You may transfer your ticket to someone else at any time, right up to the day. Just let us know the new guest's name so we have the right numbers.
- Date changes inside 30 days are at our discretion and depend entirely on availability. Ask — we'll help if we can, but we can't promise it.
If we cancel
If we cancel a tour, you'll be offered an alternative date or a full refund — your choice. We cancel only where running the tour would be unsafe or where circumstances outside our control make it impossible.
We are not liable for travel, accommodation or other costs you incur around a cancelled tour, so please don't book non-refundable travel that only makes sense if the tour runs.
Weather
Tours run in rain, hail and snow. A good part of the day is outdoors and on the water, so please dress for the forecast. We cancel only where conditions would create a genuine risk on the tour itself — most obviously if the boat cannot sail safely.
If you're travelling in from another city, plan on the tour going ahead.
Itinerary changes
Breweries and bars are working businesses. Occasionally one closes to visitors at short notice, changes its opening hours, or has a production issue on the day. Where that happens we substitute a comparable stop and tell you as early as we can. The overall shape and value of the tour is what we guarantee, not a specific list of venues.
Beers vary with what each venue has available, and may be keg or cask.
Timing
Please arrive by 11:45am. The boat departs at midday and cannot wait — it operates to its own schedule. If you miss the departure we'll do our best to get you onto the tour at a later stop, but we cannot refund a missed start.
Age, ID and behaviour
- All guests must be 18 or over. Please carry ID; venues can and do ask.
- We reserve the right to refuse service or remove a guest from the tour, without refund, where their behaviour puts others at risk, causes distress, or would jeopardise our relationship with a venue. This is rare and we don't enjoy it.
- Venues serve alcohol under their own licences and may refuse service at their discretion.
- Please drink responsibly. The measures are deliberately small, but it's still an afternoon of drinking.
Accessibility and dietary requirements
The tour involves roughly a mile of walking, boarding and leaving a ferry, and steps down into a cellar bar. Sharing platters are cheese and charcuterie by default.
If you have mobility, access or dietary requirements — including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or allergies — please tell us before you book. We'll give you an honest answer about whether the tour will work and arrange what we can with the venues in advance. We cannot reliably accommodate requirements raised on the day.
Most of the beer served contains gluten. Please treat every venue's allergen information as the authoritative source for what you're drinking and eating.
Liability
You join the tour at your own risk and are responsible for your own belongings. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Privacy notice
We're the Bristol arm of UK Brewery Tours, and we handle personal data as follows.
What we collect
- When you contact us — the name, email address, phone number and message you provide through a form on this site or by email or WhatsApp.
- When you book — booking details are collected and processed by DesignMyNight, our ticket partner, under their own privacy policy. We receive the guest list for the tour.
- When you browse — anonymised analytics via Google Analytics, used to understand which pages are useful. No advertising profile is built from it by us.
What we do with it
We use your details to answer your enquiry, run your booking, and contact you about the tour you've booked. We don't sell your data, and we don't add you to a marketing list without you asking.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept while it's useful and then deleted. Booking records are retained as long as we need them for accounting and legal purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@ukbrewerytours.com and we'll deal with it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Third parties
The services that process data on our behalf are DesignMyNight (ticketing), Google Analytics (site analytics), our form and email providers, and WhatsApp if you choose to message us there. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
